Sandra Bernhard - Without You I'm Nothing (Size: 37.57 MB)
This is one of the few comedy albums that I know word for word backwards to forwards, for me this show was a revelation and I have loved Sandra Bernhard ever since.
Note: Tori Amos does backing vocals on the final track, a phenomenal cover of Prince's "Little Red Corvette."
Without You I'm Nothing is the name of the second record released by comedienne and singer Sandra Bernhard.
It was released at the height of her career and is a live performance recording that was issued on double-cassette, double-compact disc and double-vinyl in 1987; it was later re-released on double-compact disc and made available for sale on Bernhard's own website. The re-release condensed the material from the original two discs onto one disc, and included a second disc of bonus material. The original release once fetched upwards of $300 at auction because a then-unknown Tori Amos is featured singing backing vocals on the track "Little Red Corvette," a cover of the song by Prince. As internet file-sharing made the songs featuring Tori readily available, prices dropped considerably.
The recording features a combination of live music performance and comedy. The recording contains material from Bernhard's one-woman show of the same name, whose motion picture adaptation would arrive three years later.
